    UPDATE

    Looks good man, nice job!

    Skar wiring

You just cut two pieces the same length, and connect the negative together at each end, and the positive wire the same way, basically connecting both like it is one wire, they are just on top of each other. It is parallel wiring. If you wanted even more capacity you could cut three pieces the...

    Skar wiring

The 12 gauge would probably work okay playing music, but it is technically too small for that much power / impedance, which I assume is going to be 2 ohms or less. If you were to do it properly, 10 gauge would be minimum for 2 ohms with as much current is going through the wire at 1700+ watts...

Fuse Taps at 30amp with 16AWG....

Yeah be careful how you go about this, while fires may be somewhat rare, it is a hazard if something isn’t done correctly and can happen. Connecting directly to the battery is how this is supposed to be done, with proper fuse added near battery of course. Perhaps let a professional shop install...

    Skar wiring

The Skar wire shouldn’t be too bad. You can even double up / parallel wire to increase capacity. Perhaps not necessary here, but I don’t remember what subs / amp you’re going to be using to say if 12 gauge is big enough. Assuming 12 gauge is what you needed, the Skar should be okay.

    Gp box

Start by laying the larger bottom panel in an open space, then slowly “dry” assemble it by laying the pieces where they go like a puzzle. It should be fairly simple, large top and bottom panels, two side panels, the front baffle of course, the back panel mirrors the baffle just without holes in...

    Question

To be honest I don’t use anything. Haven’t carpeted a box in 20 years, I just leave them bare wood as I like testing stuff, swapping stuff around, subs, boxes, amps, etc, so hasn’t made any sense to carpet or apply any finish; nothing I put in my car is permanent so no reason to finish it...

    Question

That Bluetooth speaker looks pretty cool. The last couple years I’ve been thinking about building something similar out of old speakers/ subs/ scrap wood but haven’t gotten around to it. I have a few small Bluetooth speakers and they just aren’t that great when I’m in the yard or driveway...

    Question

I’ve never used bed liner so no idea what the differences are. My thought is do some research, or maybe watch some videos on each brand and see what people think; probably not going to help much, but perhaps worth 20 minutes of browsing around. I would try to find the one that dries the fastest...

OFC vs CCA for wiring amp to car and for speaker use . . .

I agree with others, just buy the OFC. My last wiring was oversized CCA, and while it still works, and looked okay when I peeled the heat shrink off to inspect the end for corrosion, the scrap pieces I had in the garage corroded way more than OFC I’ve had. Don’t get me wrong, I sized up to...

    Two bass remote, which one?

Those look like decent cheaper options for sure and probably fine for some systems, but I agree, Audiocontrol has been making high quality stuff for a long time, so definitely one I trust more. I still have a AC Overdrive Line Driver from the mid 90's and works fine last I recall, though it's...

    Two bass remote, which one?

That looks like a decent basic remote for the purpose. (y) I hate the amps / units that use the remote for a "bass boost" at 45hz or whatever frequency.

    Two bass remote, which one?

I'd use whichever controls the level, and not the bass boost. I think Rockford PEQ remote controls the "bass boost" at specific frequency, which to me is not very good for a remote. I'd lean towards the Audiocontrol, although I don't know how it function on the AC unit. I did a quick search...

    Convert CD to digital drive

You can rip a CD on to a computer, and then transfer the music files on to a flash drive. I haven’t done it in a while, but was fairly simple to do on Windows as long as the PC has a disc drive, which also seems less common on modern computers. You need to know what type of music files the head...

    Kenwood KAC-X201T Blinking Blue Triangle

Based on your first post I'd start with the ground, reinstall the amp, and then run a different wire straight to the battery negative or engine block, if you have any spare wire to do this test. Can of course also inspect the terminals at the end of the old wire, look for rust or corrosion on...
