$1000 for subs and amp.....what do I get?

Thanks for the reply, I'm really looking for suggestions on what to buy and not where though. I do most of my car audio shopping on Sonicelectronix.com. I figure someone on here can help me put together a decent set up for a grand lol.

sonic electronix is where the noobs shop for subs and amps. Almost all medium to low end chinese products there or extremely overpriced mainstream products. These guys are steering you to US assembled subs and korean board amplifiers, all top tier gear used in competitions.

Taken to the cleaners, if you are not careful. Telling folks up front that you have a $1000, can result in a $500 set-up for $1000. Or advice from an audiophile, or someone who thinks they are an audiophile; who will steer you to equipment that you don't need. Do your research on the type of equipment you want, read the reviews, and go to a shop to listen to it. You may be able to satisfy your need for far less than $1000. Good luck.
